Fresh evening with a medium Westerly and 10 paddlers at Intaka saw Brad Adams continue his fine form to set a new PB of 12.04 and edge another couple of seconds up the ladder. It was Colin Heckroodt, however, who once again stole the start but he quickly relinquished his lead and let Brad slither down the narrow canals.

Full contingent of exuberant spectators were watching from the finish area egging everyone one on and catching the action on Iphones and memory cards. Many were seen rushing to the Clubhouse straight after the finish to lubricate dry throats and distributing the news to worldwide audiences. Brigette got around newcomer Mark Herd down the first straight and set off testing a more economical paddling technique – now we just need to see it translate into speed. Mark and Brendon Tri had a good ding-dong swopping leads down the back and Brendon Tri improved on his PB as well. As did Arno, who rushed straight from work to set his new PB. Brent von Collier set a respectable time and Steve also improved PB. Lindi closed up the show with a more than 2minute improvement of her PB.
To see this many PB’s is notable as waterlevels are dropping and there was a fair amount of weed to navigate. In lieu of this the Adams Show was encouraging as his training scheme continues to pay off – well done Brad!
