A blustery 35kts gusts met the intrepid paddlers attending the first Intaka Island Time Trial for 2012. A heap of new canoeists were there to entertain us all... it is rather amusing to watch people constantly falling out of their shells..... I think they need to start SUPPING!  Along with the canoeists, was Booty Camp ladies shedding the excesses of Xmas, Monday nights are a hive of activity these days!

The water was about 30-40cm shallower than usual and a large amount of weed was lurking on the surface.  Did the other SUP'ers know? I mean, there was no Stig, no Pietro, no Brigette, no Colin, no MossLahana, no PeterP, no IvanvV.... it was finally ours for the taking and the three SUP'ers relished in the conditions to perform well below par but for a podium finish!

John Henshelwood, Guy Bubb & Tammy Robarts completed the course with the promise of beer!  It was a tough challenge, especially due to the fact that the bar was shut!

7 SUPSistas came earlier and paddled about.  They promised to take part next week, so don't forget to come! :-)
