| SUPSA joins Surfing South Africa |

Stand-Up Paddling South Africa (SUPSA) is proud to announce that is has been accepted as a national affiliate of Surfing South Africa. SUPSA was formally accepted as a member at Surfing South Africa’s Annual General Meeting held in East London on July 30 this year. As a member of Surfing South Africa, SUPSA is now recognized as a sporting discipline that may apply to participate in ISA sanctioned events.

“We welcome SUPSA as members and at the same time congratulate them on the successful hosting of their inaugural national championships in Cape Town at the end of July,” said Robin de Kock, General Manager of Surfing South Africa.

“Becoming a member of Surfing South Africa is an important milestone for SUPSA and was key objective when we first established a national body for stand up paddle boarding.This is an important step for the new water sport and we are excited at the opportunities this affords us in developing SUP riding in South Africa,” said Dom Gaud SUPSA’s President.

About SUPSA SUPSA was established in late 2010 as a national association to promote stand-up paddle boarding in South Africa as a sporting and lifestyle activity. It caters for the both surfing and racing SUP disciplines, and encourages competitive and social SUP riders to participate in sanctioned SUPSA events to further the development of the sport.
